The Ad Hominem fallacy that is Donald Trump

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump, is a well known figure of the public. He is known for attacking minority groups but for also attacking opponents in order to gain support from his voters.
Rather than admitting or making an argument against a person, Donald Trump attacks people verbally. Making it the logical fallacy of Ad Hominem which states that it is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument.
An example of this fallacy can be explained by the event carried on in December, When Trump attacked Hillary Clinton in a Presidential democratic debateTrump went on to say that Clinton using the restroom is "too disgusting". He also goes as far as saying that she got "Shlonged" by president Barack Obama on the democratic debates in 2008. By doing so Trump exercises the Fallacy, due to the comments being irrelevant to the subject and distracting himself from the real focus, our country. Not only did his Comments catch the attention of many people, but it also caught the attention of Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sandler's, who later goes on to say that "Donald Trump has discovered that women go to the bathroom" as well as "I also went to the bathroom".MSNBC
Not only has he attacked Hillary but other people as well; like Rosie O'Donnell for in other words saying she wouldn't like trump to be president. The reason why these examples belong to this particular fallacy is because of the actions of the person causing the problem do not match the truth of the matter. It seems that Donald Trump’s ways to gain followers is by attacking people and making negative comments about others.
